Classic Attractions

The Double Bridges consist of the Shide and Yong'an bridges. One is a stone arch type and the other is a stone beam type bridge. One bridge is horizontal and the other one is vertical.

Shen's Hall was originally named Jingye Hall, and was renamed Songmao Hall at the end of the Qing Dynasty. It was constructed by Shen Benren, the descendant of Shen Wansan in the 7th year of Qianlong Period in the Qing Dynasty (1742).

Zhang's Hall is believed to have been constructed during the Zhengtong Period in the Ming Dynasty by a descendant of Xu Kui, the younger brother of Xu Da, King of Zhongshan in the Ming Dynasty.

It is believed that Shen Wansi, Shen Wansan's younger brother, frequently donated money for good deeds in his hometown in order not to repeat the fate of his brother who was sent to the army for opposing Zhu Yuanzhang. The Fu’an Bridge was constructed by utilizing his donations. The name of the bridge displayed his desire for well-being after he became wealthy.

The hall was Mr. Chen Yifei's studio including his desk and a sofa for entertaining his friends. On the walls of both sides are displayed models’ clothing and related classic architectural patterns that he designed during his lifetime.

Zhouzhuang Museum

The brand-new Zhouzhuang Museum provides a panoramic view of Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, and includes a comprehensive and splendid display of the overall layout of a waterside town south of the Yangtze River. The museum exhibits the historical relics and lifestyles of Zhouzhuang Ancient Town as a united collection.

Chengxu Taoist Temple

Chengxu Taoist Temple was built in the Yuanyou Period in the Song Dynasty (1086-1093), dating back to over 900 years ago. It is not only a symbol of the religious culture of Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, but also a location for appreciating the architectural styles of the Song and Ming Dynasties.

Residence of the God of Wealth

The Residence of the God of Wealth was Shen Wansan’s former residence and is located in the Dongcha Village within Zhouzhuang Ancient Town.

Nanhu Qiuyue Garden

When the cool autumn breeze blows and the bright moon hangs high, the Nanhu Qiuyue Garden displays a tranquil, picturesque and artistic scene.

Ruan Yisan Work Station

Located in Mei’s Residence within the Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, the Ruan Yisan Urban Heritage Conservation Foundation (also known as Ruan Yisan Work Station) includes an exhibition hall, a work station, an interchange space and other display areas.

Ye Chucang’s Former Residence

Ye Chucang's Former Residence was constructed in the Tongzhi Period in the late Qing Dynasty, and was formerly known as “Zuyin Hall”. Mr. Ye Chucang was a member of the Kuomintang and a well-known figure in China’s culture and journalism fields, and was born here in 1887.

Quanfu Lecture Temple

Quanfu Lecture Temple is a well-known ancient temple. It was constructed during the first year of the Yuanyou period in the Song Dynasty (1086). The aristocrat Zhou Di donated his land to build this temple on the bank of Baixian Lake in the northwest of the town.
