  • Sanmao Tea House

In 1989, Taiwanese female writer Sanmao came to Zhouzhuang and became friends with the teahouse owner Zhang Jihan. As a member of the Chinese Writers Association, Zhang Jihan wrote about the leisurely life of the small town in his works with water-like gentle words. Currently, this teahouse is an ideal location for reading, practising calligraphy, making friends, and writing.

  • Nanhu Fish Market

Zhouzhuang’s fish and shrimp products are obtained from local lakes including the Nanhu Lake and Baixian Lake. Local people gather here to sell their products including striped fish, white fish, saury fish, white silk fish and wild crucian carp.

  • Zhouzhuang Tea Eating Custom

Local residents visit for friendly conversations and discussions whilst eating green dumplings, bean curd cakes, Dingsheng cakes and other delicacies. Tourists may share tables with local residents to taste handmade pastries and snacks while appreciating music composed and performed by local people.
