The grand opening of 'Zhouzhuang Odyssey'!

Zhouzhuang is the hometown of all dream chasers. “Zhouzhuang Odyssey” is China’s first culture-themed, technology-empowered, immersive metaverse play, which features a Song-style cultural street, a core art performance, an immersive drama/script, and a variety of interactive performances, experiences, products and IP derivatives.

This performance relates the story of Zhou He, a young traveler who visited Zhouzhuang for a meeting of astronomy enthusiasts. In his dream, Zhou witnessed the dreams and life of a man of the same name in the Song Dynasty nine hundred years earlier and had conversations with numerous ancient famous experts in Zhouzhuang across time and space. In the dreams of contemporary Zhou He and ancient Zhou He, the audience followed the path of “Old Dream - Entering Paintings - Expedition - Finding the Way” into the ancient water town of nine hundred years ago to experience the aesthetic world of the Song Dynasty and learn about the dream-pursuing stories of ancient well-known characters in Zhouzhuang’s history.
